Unfltrd Feature: Bronx Fashion Gala
Over the weekend, we visited the Bronx Museum of the Arts for an event called The Black Fashion Gala. The event was comprised of various elements from music, to art to fashion and culture. It was to celebrate the Bronx and its deep roots in art and culture. The event itself was filled with designers, stylists, makeup artists, and local businesses all from the Bronx.
The Gala is a one-day event, comprised of various cultural activities, highlighting the Bronx’s influence on NYC culture. There will be a Beauty and Hair expo, where expert cosmetologists will show you how to do quick, chic styles you can wear around town, partnered with some great make-up solutions. There will also be an art exhibit, showcasing art by some of the top street artists in the Bronx, as well as a LIVE Mural being painted before your eyes as you explore! The event will be capped off with our main event. A Fashion Show, featuring collections by some great up and coming designers from the Bronx. – Bronx Fashion Gala

The event also featured one of Unfltrd’s own, LaShae Moreland who styled a portion of the night’s events. Her styles ranged from tribal to classic to denim and included models from various backgrounds, noting that style is universal, and that you can’t put her in a box. She can style all sizes, and body types. She loves what she does and we love her for it! We are rooting for you Shae. Keep up the good work.
